Mewtwo Strikes Back
Foreward:
Researchers wander the jungle searching for ruins built for mew. There they find a mew fossil and several scientists struggle to create an inhanced clone of the fossil's DNA...........

Narrorator: Life, the great miracle, and the great mystery. Since the beginning, man and pokemon alike have searched for it's meaning. Many tales evolved from this quest, but none are for amazing than the tale of the strongest pokemon in the world. (mew flies by and off into the mountains)
-The scene changes to a laboratory-
Several scientists rush around as mewtwo starts to awaken in his chamber. He is angered by the voices he hears outside and blows the glass chamber o peices. The scientist speaks to mewtwo saying that the real testing was about to begin. Mewtwo rages at the thought of only being an experiement and starts to destroy the lab. The startled scientist's last words are: "we wanted to create the strongest pokemon in the world....and we succeeded", right before he is blown away by mewtwo's overpowering psychic blast. The lab is now in flames and mewtwo stands in the rubble. Giovanni's helicopter lands before him. Giovanni tells mewtwo he thinks of him as a valuble partner and that he can make mewtwo invincible. Mewtwo agrees to come with giovanni, but he doesn't know what he really has planned. Once at the gym, mewtwo defeats many trainers, including Gary, He helps team rocket capture rare pokemon . Mewtwo still doesn't understand why he's here or alive even, he questions Giovanni who replys angrily "You were created by humans to obey humans, you could never be our equal". Mewtwo flares up a psychic attack and blasts through the roof of the headquarter. Mewtwo returns to the island where the lab once stood and claims he would soon rule the world...........

-the scene changes to a grassy area where Ash, Misty, and Brock are picknicking-
Ash seems pretty tired and complains for food, Misty yells saying he hasn't done a thing all day. Suddenly a strange guy dressed like a pirate challenges Ash to a match. (The Season1 pokemon theme plays during the battle(REMIX) The stranger starts off with a donphan, ash fights back with bulbasaur. Donphan is using rollout bulbasaur dodges but gets hit also, while bulbasaur is up in the air he charges up solarbeam which defeats the donphan. Ash pets bulbasaur, it seems a camera is watching him.... The dude then sends out a machamp, Ash uses squirtle. The machamp flexes his muscles and takes a swing a squirtle. Squirtle dodges the punch but gets hit by a kick. Squirtle blows bubbles at machamp who falls in one hit. Ash congratulates squirlte, the camera is still watching....In a desperate move, the guy throws out 3 pokeballs at once, releasing a golem, venomoth, and one other I can't remember. Ash sends out pikachu who defeats all of them with thunderbolt! Meanwhile Team Rocket watches them from a hill. They're hungry and drool while they watch the kids eat their lunch. James even says he wouldn't mind eating pokemon chow. A fearow overhead crows, it has a camera around it's neck....
-the scene changes to a big castle-
A woman in a dress aproaches a chair seated in front of a few video screens showing Ash's battle. The lady asks the person in the chair if she should invite Ash, some how she hears a silent response and calmly says yes master. A window opens and a dragonite with a knapsack flies out over the open ocean. He's flying very fast making water fly up when he goes past and even blowing team rocket around when he blast by, along with blowing over the kids' picknick table. Ash crawls out from under the umbrella and tells the dragonite to watch where he's flying. Dragonite pulls out a card from the bag and hands it to ash. The card's light turns blue and sends out a holographic image of the woman from the castle. She tells them they're invited to a party on "new island" and a ferry will take them there. The holographic image changes to a picture of a map. Ash selects yes on the other card and the dragonite flies off once again towards the castle.
BANG! The poor dragonite is stopped by something when it gets smashed in the head. Apparently it's team rocket asking the dragonite what's so special about the twerp-trio's special delivery. The invatation falls out and team rocket's more confused than ever.
-the scene changes to a rainy warf-
Ash, Misty, and Brock run through the rain to the ferry terminal. When they arrive they discover their ferry to new island was cancelled and that Nurse Joy is missing from the pkmn center. A few other trainers near them claim they'll go to new island using their pokemon. Ash thinks this is a good idea and runs to the end of the pier, ready to send out squirtle. Misty claims their pokemon can't handle the giant waves. Ash agrees and they're about to give up going when a suspicious pair of vikings come along in a boat offering them a ride. The trio doesn't notice that the figure-head of the boat appears to be meowth. On the ride a huge wave washes over the boat tearing off team rocket's disguises. The kids aren't worried about team rocket because another huge wave over turns the boat and they fall in the sea. Misty and Ash call out their water pokemon and take a rough ride to new island. When they arrive, the woman from the card is alomost magically waiting for them on the dock. Ash, Misty and Brock follow her into the castle where the three trainers from the terminal are. Meanwhile, team rocket decides to sneak into the place by going through the sewers. The 3 trainers chat with Ash and co., showing off their pokemon. Suddenly the lights dim and the woman says it's time for them to meet the most powerful trainer on earth. Mewtwo flies down through the center of a spiral staircase-like thing while a blue beam shines down from the ceiling. Mewtwo says he's the most powerful pokemon trainer, and the most powerful pokemon in the world, and that he's soon going to be the ruler of the world. One of the trainers claim that a pokemon can't be a pokemon master, and he sends his gyarados after mewtwo. Gyarados tries hyperbeam, but mewtwo reflects the attack back at it. Gyarados gets blasted into a pool and passes out. Another trainer tries his rhyhorn, the poor pokemon gets beaten as well. Mewtwo tells Ash and the others that if they want a to fight, he would fight them, and he opens a door to a massive arena. Mewtwo calls upon his own pokemon, a charizard, venusaur, and blastoise, whom come up throught the floor. Mewtwo explains to the trainers that his pokemon are clones of the orginals and that they has been genetically enhanced. Not fazed by the super-pokemon, the lean boy trainer sends his venusaur to fight mewtwo's venusaur. He starts off with razor leaf, but the clone blocks the attack with vine whip, grabs him, and tosses him across the room. The boys runs to his fainted venusaur. Next, the girl trainer steps up to the plate with her blastoise, mewtwo sends out his blastoise as well. She starts out with hydro pump, but the clone does a spinning tackle right through the water and knocks it out. Mewtwo is pretty pleased with himself, then Ash steps up. He sends charizard up to battle, mewtwo sends his also. The two charizard begin an aerial battle. Ash tries to get charizard to use speed instead of power, but charizard just isn't fast enough to beat the clone. It slams charizard into the ground. Mewtwo laughs and says that since he won the battle he gets their pokemon as a prize. Dark pokemon form out of thin air and steal the venusaur, blastoise, and charizard from their trainers. Ash tries to argue with mewtwo, but he simply tells Ash not to defy his power and sends out more dark pokeballs to catch the rest of their pokemon. All the pokemon run, although most of them get caught anyhow. Ash gets the bright idea to recall the pokemon into their balls so they'll be safe, but the dark pokeballs just capture the pokeballs as well. Soon all the pokemon are captured except pikachu,the little rodent runs and runs from the evil balls. He is totally exhausted at the top of a spiral staircase and falls off. Ash, who had been chasing after pikachu, jumps off after him. A dark ball catches pikachu in midair, Ash grabs the ball and falls down into the pool below. The ball escapes his grasp and flies into an underground tunnel, Ash slides into the tunnel after it and down into the basement lababoratory. Ash is on a conveyor belt which is taking pokeballs into a machine, he snatches pikachu's ball and mechanical arms reach out to pry it from his hands. Team Rocket is watching the whole ordeal and has discovered about the whole situation from a computer in the lab. Ash breaks the arms and destroys the cloning machine in the process. Pikachu is freed along with all the other pokemon. Ash is having a happy reunion with his pokemon, suddenly the clones sleeping in tanks lining the walls of the room begin to awaken. They come out of their tanks and walk out the door. Meanwhile, mewtwo is telling the trainer's how he will take over the world with his clones and get rid of all humans. He suddenly removes the spell from his servant girl, who falls. Brock catches her, her hat fall off at the same time revealing she is really Nurse Joy who is missing from the pokemon center. Suddenly the wall blows open and mewtwo's clones come out. Mewtwo says that he is already beginning to get control and it won't be long before he and his clones take over now. Ash comes out of the dust as well now with all the original pokemon who were captured. He tells mewtwo he would never let him take over and tries to take a swing at him. Mewtwo laughs at his attempt and blows him away. Ash flies off and is about to be smashed into a stone tower, when he lands into a soft, pink bubble that came out of no where. Mewtwo is confused, suddenly they see the bubble's creator. Mew. Ash lays in the bubble staring at mew, who is bouncing on it's own pink bubble. Mew suddenly pops Ash's bubble, Ash falls about a foot onto the stone tower. Mew laughs. Mewtwo cannot believe the pokemon he was cloned from is here. He wants to prove how much better he is and blasts an orb of enegy at mew. Mew is hit and blasted off into the clouds. Mewto laughs that he defeated mew so easily. Suddenly the orb comes blazing back out of the clouds and smashes into mewtwo. Mewtwo is suprised mew actually has some fight in it. He asks who would rule, he and his clones, or mew and her inferior pokemon. Mew tells mewtwo that pokemon aren't about having a lot of special powers, that the real power comes from the heart. Mewtwo just laughs and goes after mew, the clones go after the real pokemon. Misty, Brock, Nurse Joy, and the three other trainers watch their pokemon get beat up by the clones. Nurse Joy says that pokemon weren't meant to battle like this, not ever a death match like this. Ash watches the scene from his spot atop the stone tower. He sees pikachu's clone constantly pummeling his pikachu. Pikachu refuses to fight the clone, fuming, the clone beats pikachu repeatedly. Finally the clone is so tired it falls into pikachu's weak arms. Ash wants this to stop and he climbs down from the tower and falls onto the steps. His friends rush to his aid, all the pokemon, clones and normal, are exhausted and are lying all over the floor against one another. Mew and mewtwo are still going at it, mew surrounded by a pink energy and mewtwo blue. They fire energy at each other over and over, neither one affected. MEw and Mewtwo face each other on each side of the arena finally, mew glows pink, mewtwo glows blue. Ash stands up and runs out onto the field, at that second the two pokemon fired their energy. Ash is hit right in the center.
"Fool, trying to stop our battle...."-Mewtwo
Ash's body glows pink and falls to the floor. Pikachu runs to his corpse. "Pika Pi!!!"
His body hardens suddenly, pikachu tries desperately to talk to him and shakes him so he would wake up. Nothing happens. Pikachu then tries thundershocking Ash in an atempt to revive him.
Ash doesn't wake up.
Pikachu tries again, and again, and again. Each time his electricity getting weaker. Ash still doesn't get up, pikachu's eyes fill with tears. All the kids, and nurse joy, don't seem to know what to think. All the pokemon in the room, clones as well, begin to cry. Their tears stream together, twinkling and flow towards the stone boy in the center of the arena. Mew and mewtwo look around the room, confused. Ash's body glows blue, pikachu lets a few last tears fall on the stone, as if he had given up. Ash suddenly turns back to normal and awakens. Pikachu leaps into his arms, the pokemon roar with joy.
Mewto realizes that only when all the pokemon came together they forgot their differences.
"The orgin of one's birth is irrelevant, it is what one does with the gift of life that makes us who we are..."-Mewtwo
Mewtwo makes his clones glow blue and he, mew , and the clones glide off to a new hiding spot, he transfers Ash and co. back to where they belong. Ash and co. have no recollection of what happened on the island, alhough Ash thinks he sees mew flying through the clouds....
